Robotics Engineer Barbie wants to get your kids excited about STEM
Barbie has come a long way over the last couple of years, with everything from Curvy Barbie to Game Developer Barbie, and now, Robotics Engineer Barbie. But this goes beyond a STEM-loving girl with a stylish pair of lab glasses. Barbie has teamed up with Tynker and Black Girls CODE, both of who we've featured here on Cool Mom Tech, to help girls explore science and learn coding skills.

Related: Yes, there is a Game Developer Barbie. And we're a fan.

Over on the Barbie Tynker site, kids can get various free coding lessons, plus learn about STEM-related careers. And they're giving a grant of support to Black Girls CODE, a fantastic organization that works to reach more girls of color with developing interests in STEM-related fields. We have to give props Barbie for inspiring girls in STEM with more than just a doll. And let's be clear here: representation matters for our kids, both in real life and in play. We've got a ton more ways to get kids excited about STEM. In case you're looking for a ton.
