Just this week, Apple launched an App Development Curriculum, which is a full-year course designed by Apple engineers and educators that will teach students how to design apps using Swift. They'll learning coding and designing, as well as software development and information technology skills. So cool, right? Starting this fall, it will be available at six community colleges around the country, as well as right now free in the Apple iBooks store. What a fantastic opportunity for students (and hey, parents too) to learn a skill that they can put to practice right away, for fun or as a viable career option.
