Calling tech writers: We're looking for a few good moms!

Cool Mom Tech is looking for dynamic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic freelance parenting writers to join our team! (And it's a very nice team, promise.) You love discovering and sharing new technology, social media tips, apps of all kinds, tricks and hacks, tech trends, safety/privacy info, and above all, helping other parents navigate the ever-changing digital world. You are smart, savvy, critical thinking, and intellectually curious. You have high standards for the products you use, and fantastic curation abilities. But while you have opinions, you’re not big on judgments — we recognize that all parents have different rules when it comes to tech, and we assume all of our readers are doing the best they can with their kids. You don’t have to have a tech background or even consider yourself “a techie,” but you should know that a port is not a “plug thingy” and understand the basics of Bluetooth. And you definitely must be able to boil complex ideas down to clear, conversational, reader-friendly prose. Above all, your writing is professional and bursting with personality — your stories are sharp, fun and readable, you know the period goes inside the quotation marks, and you’re never one to shy away from a cheeky joke or a good pop culture reference. If you love writing, we’ll love you!
