Little kids with big imaginations (i.e., all of them) will get a kick out of a new tune by Mr. Jon & Friends who sings about a Bear Upstairs. I suppose that is why their room looks the way it does.
Starting off quietly and with an air of suspense, Mr. Jon and his acoustic guitar build in intensity as he bravely decides to go up and check out the bear that is in his room. But, it's the chorus that bursts forth with, Oh no / No way / I'm not going to investigate that will ring most true to kids who aren't quite as bold as they pretend to be.
It's a great reminder to us parents that whether it's the bear upstairs or the monster in the basement, our kids have good reason for not wanting to go there alone.
