Help save the world with photography

Giving money to a great cause feels good, but giving children the power to change their community is even better. We love how this project uses photography to make the world a more beautiful place.

The 100cameras project on WeDidIt is like a Kickstarter to do more good in the world through photography. This non-profit puts cameras in the hands of a community's children and then gives back to the same community through sales of the images.

What's more, they also provide educational and healthcare resources while imbuing their youthful photography students with self-development, community pride, and hope.

Commitment levels for 100cameras start at $10 and go up, with rewards from prints of the students' work to books, a private dinner party with a famous chef, and the opportunity to donate cameras directly to students and participate in the program.

To date, 100cameras has made over $36,000 by selling the images captured by their students in Sudan, Cuba, and NYC. 100% of this profit is reinvested in the program, paying for lifeline supplies, healthcare, and continuing the project, which I completely admire. Unlike some organizations, they even use separate fundraisers to cover administrative and overhead costs, so you know that your money is going directly into the programs.
