Kids' music downloads of the week: Silent Night, three ways

Last night I turned on Saturday Night Live and saw the opening, featuring the New York City Children's Chorus singing Silent Night. It wasn't the show's typical opening, but it was an incredibly touching and delicate tribute during what has been a tragically difficult week for so many of us.

Today, I want to offer up three more versions of the classic Christmas song from some of our favorite artists, for you to play in your home this holiday. May they bring some peace to your day. -Christina


Dan Zanes' Silent Night, which is on his Christmas in Concord release, is quiet, lovely, and especially striking in this black-and-while Dan Zanes video. 


Laurie Berkner's full-of-light voice sounds so pretty as she covers Silent Night on A Laurie Berkner Christmas. This will be especially popular among preschoolers who will want to sing along with their beloved singer.



Though I'm used to hearing them singing at a much faster pace, Key Wilde & Mr. Clarke's duet version of Silent Night fits them perfectly as they harmonize along to their strumming electric guitars. My tweens love this version too.
