A DIY Kindle cover for the crafty
I stumbled upon this lovely tutorial for a DIY Kindle cover, and I thought, what a smart idea! If you have the chops, and the materials, that could be a really fun project, or a great way to add a personal touch to a tech gift.
At the Carolyn's Homework blog, you'll find the DIY Kindle cover tutorial to be fairly simple because it doesn't require a stitch of sewing. Mainly you upcycle an old book for the cover and spine, add a fabric you like, and pad the inside with felt. The vintage wood button is a nice touch too.

Would I make this myself? Probably not. But boy, I envy those of you who can. -Liz
