The AT&T U-verse Wireless Receiver lets you take the TV out of the TV room

Imagine having the freedom to watch any program you want, anywhere in the house. Okay, I'll steer clear of sounding like an AT&T commercial--but I was impressed to hear about a new wireless TV receiver from AT&T U-verse that lets you do just that. If AT&T is your TV provider, the AT&T U-verse Wireless Receiver may be a great gift for the holiday season for anyone in your house who likes the tube. Basically, by hooking up this receiver to your TV, you are able to access all your cable content and move the TV to whatever location you want. It's great for being able to watch a show in a room that's not wired for TV. Or to move your TV to a more aesthetically pleasing location.

It's also smart if, for example, you'd like to move your Superbowl watching party to the basement from the den; or if your daughter has a sleepover and you let the girls watch a movie in her bedroom. Rather than being tethered to your DVR box and the entertainment cabinet in your living room, it's essentially like Wifi for your television.

Unfortunately, AT&T U-verse is not offered in my area, but if it were, I could foresee moving the TV to a special area of the house and having some friends over to watch some educational programming. I'm thinking Real Housewives. -Jeana
The AT&T U-verse Wireless Receiver is available for a one-time fee of $49 and a standard $7 per month receiver rental fee. The new device will be available tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 31.
