Jump on the Word Wagon bandwagon
There are so many kids' apps geared towards teaching letters and phonics and let's be honest, a lot of them suck. But when we hear that developer Duck Duck Moose has got one out, we sit up and take notice. Word Wagon is a very cute kids' learning app that teaches ABCs and basic phonic sounds with the help of a beret-clad mouse named Mozzarella who lives under the Eiffel Tower. There are more than 100 words here for kids to learn, from those just learning the names of letters to kids ready to learn to spell six-letter words. Best of all, the graphics and sounds won't drive you crazy. Key, when your kids are inclined to play an app over and over and over. And over. -Jeana  Word Wagon is available in iTunes for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad for $1.99.
